At 17 seconds after 8:15 a.m. on August 6 1945, a US B-29 bomber may have obliterated the city of Hiroshima but the impact is still felt today. In this series of short plays that propel us from the 1920s to the present day, we zoom in on the comedy and tragedy of how different countries have handled this ultimate weapon. Brace yourself for the ridiculously sublime – ‘We need the atomic bomb to protect Gandhi’s principles of non-violence.’ These plays do not pass judgement. But you must.
